Tout r\u00e9cemment, l\u2019\u00e9quipe du Qu\u00e9bec a lanc\u00e9 son programme Force de la nature dans la province avec un projet visant \u00e0 accro\u00eetre la r\u00e9silience du bassin versant de la rivi\u00e8re Lorette. Cette rivi\u00e8re, traversant le territoire de la Ville de Qu\u00e9bec et de la Ville de L\u2019Ancienne-Lorette, est reconnue pour ses probl\u00e9matiques d\u2019inondations. En effet, deux \u00e9pisodes d\u2019inondation majeurs se sont produits dans son bassin versant en 2005 et en 2013.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Des solutions fond\u00e9es sur la nature<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Face aux d\u00e9fis environnementaux d\u2019aujourd\u2019hui, les solutions fond\u00e9es sur la nature s\u2019imposent comme une approche durable pour restaurer les \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes. Elles permettent non seulement de renforcer la r\u00e9silience des milieux, mais apportent \u00e9galement des b\u00e9n\u00e9fices concrets aux communaut\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L\u2019objectif de ce projet r\u00e9alis\u00e9 dans la r\u00e9gion de la Capitale-Nationale est de restaurer l\u2019amont du bassin versant de la rivi\u00e8re Lorette par la restauration de milieux humides, hydriques et naturels. Tout comme les autres initiatives Force de la nature men\u00e9es au Canada, les infrastructures naturelles seront utilis\u00e9es pour contribuer \u00e0 att\u00e9nuer les risques d\u2019inondation et augmenter la r\u00e9silience face aux changements climatiques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Active sur le terrain, l\u2019\u00e9quipe de Canards Illimit\u00e9s Canada (CIC) cible pr\u00e9sentement les sites cl\u00e9s \u00e0 conserver et \u00e0 restaurer, avec l\u2019aide des propri\u00e9taires dans la zone \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tude. Tout au long de la mise en \u0153uvre du projet, la collaboration fera partie int\u00e9grante de l\u2019approche de CIC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Agir en amont pour prot\u00e9ger l\u2019aval<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Voil\u00e0 le principe guidant cette initiative d\u2019envergure, qui aura des retomb\u00e9es localement, mais aussi \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle du bassin versant! Cette initiative d\u2019adaptation aux changements climatiques permettra d\u2019augmenter la capacit\u00e9 de r\u00e9tention d\u2019eau \u00e0 la source, ce qui pourra contribuer \u00e0 att\u00e9nuer les crues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
